'Those who lack love...': At Yogi's 'kale karname' jibe, Akhilesh's colourful response to UP CM

Yadav's remarks came a day after Adityanath said, 'Everyone is familiar with the misdeeds of the SP. If you turn the pages, the SP's history is full of black deeds. The SP's cap is 'laal' (red) but its 'karname kale hain' (deeds are black).'

Lucknow: Lucknow: As they go all out to register their supremacy in the upcoming assembly by-polls in ten constituencies, Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav had a ‘colourful’ exchange with each other.

Adityanath had, on Thursday, said that the SP leaders put on ‘red’ caps but their deeds were ‘black’.

‘’Samajwadi Party ke karnamo se har koi parichit hai... agar aap panno ko paltenge to kale karnamon se unka itihas bhara pada hai... topi lal lekin, karname kale hain’’ (Everyone is familiar with the bad deeds of SP...if you turn the pages you will find that their history is full of bad deeds... their cap is red but the deeds are black), Adityanath had said while speaking at a meeting in Kanpur.

Akhilesh on Friday hit back at Adityanath, 'colouring' his repartee too in response to Yogi's 'red cap-black deeds' jibe.

In a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Akhilesh, without naming Yogi, said that the people whose lives were 'devoid of affection, harmony and compassion', often thought that the red colour was bad.

The SP president also went on to explain the ‘psychology’ behind likes and dislikes for colours. ‘’No colour is good or bad... it’s the perspective which makes one think so,’’ he added.

‘’People’s question hour... what can be the possible reasons behind getting enraged on seeing red or black colour....Answer- Colours have deep relations with people’s psychology... there are some negative psychological reasons if someone gets angry on seeing a particular colour,’’ he wrote.

Akhilesh said that red colour was the symbol of ‘milan’ (meeting). ‘’Often people whose lives are devoid of love and affection, don’t like red colour’’ he said.

The SP leader said that powerful people often thought that the red colour was a challenge to their power. ‘’This is the reason why the bull gets enraged on seeing the red colour,’’ he added.
