<p>Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has convened an informal meeting of the state Cabinet on Friday afternoon that will serve as a platform for the Congress-JD(S) coalition to discuss the near-annihilation it faced at the hands of the BJP. </p>.<p>The Cabinet is scheduled to meet at 12.30 pm in the chief minister's home office Krishna. It was originally scheduled to be held at Vidhana Soudha, where all the Cabinet meetings take place. </p>.<p>The meeting will be the first between the coalition partners to review the Lok Sabha election results in Karnataka that saw the BJP win 25 out of 28 seats. </p>.<p>Following its resounding victory, BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa has asked the Congress-JD(S) coalition to spell out what it wants to do within 48 hours, saying the Lok Sabha mandate was against the Kumaraswamy-led government. </p>.<p>While there is pressure on Kumaraswamy to step down, the Congress is learnt to have asked him to stay put in order to keep the coalition government from collapsing. </p>
