<p>A despondent Congress in Karnataka has congratulated the BJP for “a resounding victory” in Karnataka as well as in other states in the Lok Sabha election whose results were out Thursday. </p>.<p>“In a democracy people’s verdict is sacrosanct,” Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao said in a tweet, making it the party's first reaction to the results “I wish Mr Modi the very best and hope in his second term as PM will build a stronger, more prosperous and inclusive India,” he added. </p>.<p>The Congress is leading in just two Lok Sabha segments - Bangalore Rural and Chamarajanagar - in what could be its worst performance ever. The BJP is leading in 24 out of the 28 seats in Karnataka.</p>
