<p>An elderly couple was found dead with their throats slit at their residence in northeast Delhi's Gokalpuri on Monday, police said, adding that their daughter-in-law has been arrested for killing them along with her boyfriend.</p>.<p>The house of the victims -- Radhey Shyam Verma (72) and his wife Veena's (68) -- was also found ransacked and cash worth around Rs 5 lakh and other valuables were missing.</p>.<p>According to police, the accused, Monika, was having an extramarital affair. She wanted to live with her boyfriend and hatched a conspiracy to eliminate her in-laws and flee with the belongings.</p>.<p>Preliminary probe revealed that the woman's boyfriend and his associate arrived at the house on Sunday around 7 pm and were hiding on the terrace, a senior police officer said.</p>.<p>Efforts are on to trace the woman's boyfriend and associate who are absconding, he said. The elderly couple was living on the ground floor of the house, while their son Ravi Rattan along with his wife and 6-year-old son was living on the first floor.</p>.<p>Radhey Shyam had retired as vice principal of a Delhi government school, Karol Bagh. The family had been living in the house for the last 38 years, the DCP said. </p>.<p>Some jewellery and Rs 4.5 lakh cash are missing from the house, police said. Radhey Shyam had recently taken Rs 5 lakh as advance to sell the rear portion of the house, Tirkey said.</p>.<p>Ravi had last seen his parents at 10:30 pm on Sunday.</p>.<p>Meanwhile, hearing the news of her uncle and aunt's murder, Sati Gautam along with her husband reached Gokalpuri from Shankar Vihar. </p>.<p>"Soon after I woke up, I received a call from my elder sister in Kanpur informing that 'mausaji' (uncle) and 'mausi' (aunt) have been murdered," she said. </p>.<p>"When we reached the house, we were not allowed inside. Police had sealed the scene of crime, but we saw the bodies when police were taking them to the hospital. We we told that jewellery and cash worth approximately Rs 5 lakh was missing from the house," she said.</p>.<p>Police have scanned through CCTV cameras installed in and around the area as part of the investigation to corroborate evidence.</p>
