BJP MP Locket Chatterjee moved the motion of thanks in the Lower House but could not start her speech.<br /><br />However, the Opposition in Rajya Sabha took a divergent view and allowed the debate on motion of thanks after the government agreed to increase the debate time from 10 hours to 15 hours.<br /><br />Even Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Chief Whip Kodikkunnil Suresh agreed to the debate on motion of thanks after the government proposed increasing the discussion time but Congress MPs were up in arms against. Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi was also said to be not in agreement with going ahead with the motion of thanks without a separate discussion on farmers issues. </p>
