<p>Amid a power crisis, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government is considering importing coal to avoid load-shedding. </p>.<p>Over the last couple of days, Maharashtra chief minister has held a series of meetings to review the situation and asked the administration to make necessary arrangements so that people do not have to face difficulties during the summer. </p>.<p>“The government has decided to import coal,” deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, who holds the finance and planning portfolios, told reporters.</p>.<p>Besides, the government is also looking at acquiring a coal mine in neighbouring Chhattisgarh. </p>.<p>According to energy minister Dr Nitin Raut, the state is not getting enough coal from Coal India Ltd.</p>.<p>“In all, 12 states are facing electricity issues due to shortage of coal.
