<p>On the first day of every year, many make a resolution to get fit and lead a healthier lifestyle, but very little have the discipline to follow through the year. </p>.<p>If you happen to own Apple Watch, there is a new contest that not only promises to offer motivation and stay true to the fitness resolution but also gets a chance to represent their city.</p>.<p>The Get Active India contest is hosted by Apple India's local distributors (Redington / Ingram) and authorised resellers.</p>.<p>As the user accumulates the points after completing the activities, he/she can help their respective city rise up in the ranks in India.</p>.<p><strong>Here's how to participate in the Get Active India challenge:</strong><br />Step 1: Download the Challenges App on your iPhone<br />Step 2: Enter the code ‘India’<br />Step 3: Select the city you would like to represent as your team ( List includes Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Rest of India)<br />Based on the individual’s body weight, participants are assigned a Move goal by the Challenges App (The Move goal in Challenges App is not the same as the Move goal you have set for yourself on your Apple Watch.)</p>.<p>At the end of each day, based on the points accumulated, the app hands out three badges-- Bronze (40 points), Silver (60 points) and Gold (80 points). With this, users can improve the rankings of their cities.</p>.<p><strong>Key points contestants should know</strong><br />1) Move Points: Move points are awarded on closing the Move Ring on Apple Watch. <br />2) Participants earn 12 points each time they close the Move Ring. A maximum of 36 Move points can be earned each day.<br />3) Exercise Points: Exercise points are awarded on closing the Exercise Ring on Apple Watch. <br />4) Participants earn 12 points each time they close the Exercise Ring. A maximum of 36 Move points can be earned each day.<br />5) Stand Points: Standpoints are awarded on closing the Stand Ring. <br />6) Participants earn 1 point for each Stand hour.
