<p>After weeks of speculations, Asus on Wednesday (March 10) unveiled the much-awaited gaming flagship phone ROG Phone 5 series.</p>.<p>Asus, like the counterpart OnePlus, skipped the ROG Phone 4 series to Phone 5 to succeed the ROG Phone 3. Apparently, number four is considered unlucky, as its pronunciation is homophonous to the word death in some Asian cultures (Cantonese).</p>.<p>The upgrade coming in the ROG Phone 5 over the 3 series is notable, says the company.</p>.<p>It comes with a 6.78-inch full HD+ (2448 × 1080p) 144Hz OLED screen and supports 10-bit HDR, 20.4:9 aspect ratio display, 300Hz touch sampling rate, Contrast ratio: 1,000,000:1, peak brightness up to 1200nits, and features an in-display fingerprint sensor.
