IND vs NZ: Kohli falls on last ball of the day as hosts trail by 125 runs

India reached 231/3 in their second innings after New Zealand were all out for 402 on the third day of the opening Test in Bengaluru on Friday.

In their second innings, India is still behind by 125 runs. Sarfaraz Khan (70) is at the crease. Glen Phillps gave a timely blow to India after Virat Kohli was caught off by Tom Blundell on the last ball of the day.

Faced with an uphill task, India made a solid start to their second innings after Rachin Ravindra's stupendous hundred and Tim Southee's fluent fifty handed New Zealand a massive first-innings lead of 356 runs.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli became the fourth Indian to cross 9,000 runs in Test cricket, scaling another peak in a glorious career.

Kohli joined an august company featuring Sachin Tendulkar (15921), Rahul Dravid (13265) and Sunil Gavaskar (10122).
