<p>Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that voting for the JD(S) was like casting ballot for the Congress.</p>.<p>Addressing a public meeting on the sidelines of the golden jubilee celebrations of the CAMPCO here, Shah said that a vote for the BJP will see an emergence of new Karnataka and new India. </p>.<p>The Union minister sought to know from the people whether they want Congress or JD (S) government which favours Tipu Sultan or BJP government that supported Ullal warrior queen Abbakka.</p>.<p><strong>Also Read: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/opinion/first-edit/was-tipu-fanatic-or-our-current-rulers-1171183.html" target="_blank">Was Tipu fanatic or our current rulers? </a> </strong></p>.<p>“Will you vote for Congress which will turn Karnataka into ATM to revive their fortune,” he asked and stressed that only BJP was capable of ushering in development in Karnataka. The state will see progress and development under BJP. He also criticised Congress policies to appease a particular community.</p>.<p>The PFI was banned to ensure peace and safety in Karnataka and only BJP can take such a step, Shah said.</p>.<p>He said CAMPCO, a multi co-operative society with 1.38 lakh members and turnover of Rs 3,000 crore was a testimony to the fact that it was possible to build a strong institution on the foundations of integrity and honesty. Shah said that he was aware of the coastal district’s rich culture and he had watched the movie ‘Kantara’.</p>.<p>Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, in his address, promised to allocate special grants for Arecanut Research and Development Foundation (ARDF) in the budget. </p>.<p>Former chief minister B S Yediyurappa, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel and other ministers were present.</p>
