<p>Nearly three months after the road transport workers’ strike crippled bus services across Karnataka, a group of employees that led the movement has issued a call for an indefinite shutdown from April 7 onwards. </p>.<p>The Karnataka State Road Transport Employees’ League, a new association formed in December, sent letters to the chief minister, the transport minister and the heads of the KSRTC, the BMTC, the NEKRTC and the NWKRTC on Tuesday. </p>.<p>The letter, issued by farmers’ leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar and others, read, “Despite repeated reminders, the government is not consulting us for making decisions on some of our pleas. The delay tactics in considering our main demand for the implementation of the sixth pay commission shows that the government and the corporations are not keen on fulfilling it.” </p>
