The counting of votes for the bypolls to 46 Assembly seats in 13 states and in the Lok Sabha segments of Maharashtra's Nanded and Kerala's Wayanad is in its last lap. Priyanka Gandhi is on her way to securing a landslide victory from Kerala's Wayanad with the Congress veteran currently leading by a margin of more than 4 lakh votes. Congress secured a sweeping victory in Karnataka, with the grand old party winning in all 3 assembly segments - Sandur, Shiggaon and Channapatna. Both JD(S) leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy and BJP's Bharath Bommai failed to win from their respective constituencies in Channapatna and Shiggaon. TMC is in the driver's seat in West Bengal, with the party closing in on victories in all 6 seats in the state.
