Krishna temple golden roof inauguration on June 6

An elaborate 11-day ceremony will mark the inauguration of the golden roof of Sri Krishna Temple from May 31 to June 10. The work of the golden roof, an ambitious project of Paryaya Palimaru pontiff Vidyadheesha Theertha, has been taken up at a total cost of Rs 32 crore. Under the project, 100 kilograms of gold plates will cover the roof of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
