Maharashtra constituency-wise results LIVE | Ajit Pawar wins Baramati, defeats nephew Yugendra
Hello readers. Counting is under way! Maha Yuti looks set to sweep the state, having crossed the majority mark already, while Congress and its allies stare at bitter defeat once again. Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis has already won in Nagpur South West, as has NCP's Aditi Tatkare in Shrivardhan. BJP looks set to come out on top as the single largest party in the state. The Maha Vikas Aghadi comprises the Congress, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar's NCP (SP) while the ruling coalition is of Ajit Pawar led NCP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and the BJP. After one hour of counting - involving postal ballots and EVMs, the BJP is leading in 60-70 seats while Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP is currently ahead in 23 seats an 15 seats respectively.
