Team India Returns highlights| World Chams felicitated, take lap of honour at Wankhede

This blog is now closed. These were the highlights from Team India return to country after winning T20 World Cup on Thursday, July 4. The team India have landed in Mumbai after meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi upon their arrival from Barbados in the early hours of Thursday morning after clinching the T20 World Cup. The World Champions were given a rousing welcome at the IGI Airport, at the team hotel and on the way to the hotel. As they arrive in Mumbai, the streets are packed with fans flocking to Marine Drive to witness open bus victory parade. There were cheers and tears as cricket fans waved the national tricolour as the men-in-blues led by skipper Rohit Sharma travelled in an open-deck double-decker bus even as the players displayed the trophy. Following the victory parade, the players were felicitated at a ceremony at Wankhede Stadium. Thank you for staying with us.
