Cyclone Michaung Highlights: Michaung crosses Andhra Pradesh coast, to weaken into cyclonic storm
The Severe Cyclonic Storm 'Michaung' (pronounced as Migjaum) weakened into a cyclonic storm at 1530hrs, lay centered at 1730hrs of December 5 over south coastal Andhra Pradesh about 25km west-northwest of Bapatla and 60 km north-northeast of Ongole. It is likely to move nearly northwards and weaken further. Meanwhile, Chennai continues to face massive waterlogging triggered due to heavy rain. All primary, upper primary, high school and anganwadi centre to remain closed tomorrow in Odisha. Cyclone will have no impact on north India. That's all for today.
