HP leads computer shipments in Q1 2022 in India: IDC

International Data Corporation (IDC) released the report on computer (desktop, notebooks, and work stations) shipments related to the Indian market for the quarter ending March 2022. Indian marketplace witnessed more than 4.3 million units of PC shipment with an average YoY(Year-over-Year) growth of 37.7 per cent. The notebook category was the volume driver with 3.1 million units and the desktop category saw more than a million unit' shipments for the first time since 3Q, 2014.  

1) HP topped the list with 1.4 million plus units shipment and continued to lead the overall PC market with a share of 33.8 per cent in 1Q22, IDC reported. It was also HP's biggest ever consumer quarter in 1Q22, shipping close to 650k units with a share of 33.2 per cent. Picture Credit: AFP

2) With 19.2 per cent market share, Dell comes a distant second. And, it witnessed 22.6 per cent YoY growth. Picture Credit: Reuters
