Window of opportunity opening up regarding Lebanon ceasefire: French Foreign Minister

Fiuggi (Italy): French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said on Tuesday a "window of opportunity" was opening up regarding a possible Lebanon ceasefire, adding he hoped the parties involved would seize that opportunity.

Barrot was speaking at a G7 Foreign Ministers meeting in Italy.

Israel looks set to approve a plan proposed by the US and France for a ceasefire with Hezbollah in Lebanon on Tuesday, a senior Israeli official said.
