'BJP, AJSU, JD(U), LJP to contest Jharkhand polls together,' says Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Union Minister and BJP's election in-charge for Jharkhand, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "In Jharkhand, BJP, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United) and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) will contest the elections together. An agreement has also been reached on seat sharing and candidates will be announced soon."

BJP's Jharkhand assembly election co-incharge and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also said that discussions regarding the seat sharing are under way. "As of now, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) will contest on 10 seats. Janata Dal (United) on 2 seats and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on one seat... BJP will contest on the remaining seats," he said.

Over 900 centenarians eligible to cast votes in 43 seats in 1st phase of Jharkhand polls
