Jharkhand is all set for the upcoming Assembly elections where polling will take place in two phases: November 13 and November 20. The counting of votes will be done on November 23.
A total of 2.60 crore electors, including 11.84 lakh first-time voters and 1.13 lakh persons with disabilities (PwD), third gender and senior citizens over 85 years of age, are likely to exercise their franchise in the upcoming elections.
More than 900 centenarians, including 533 women, are eligible to exercise their franchise in 43 assembly constituencies going to polls in the first phase of Jharkhand elections on November 13.
In the last Assembly elections that was held in the year 2019, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) had marked victory.
As the state gears up for polling to elect all 81 members of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, let us take a look at the smallest and largest constituencies in the state in terms of voters in 2019.
Largest constituencies in terms of voter numbers
Bokaro constituency witnessed highest count with a total being 5,26,660 voters.
Hatia constituency of Ranchi district was the second in the list with 448,166 voters.
Dhanbad constituency had 433,191 total voters.
Kanke of Ranchi district had 415,081 voters in total.
Mandu constituency of Hazaribagh district saw a count of 386,617 voters.
Smallest constituencies in terms of voter numbers
Barhait constituency of Sahibganj district saw 195,453 voters.
Next in the list with 192,939 voters was West Singhbhum districts' Majhgaon.
Chakradharpur constituency of West Singhbhum saw 181,771 voters.
Torpa of Khunti district had 181,744 voters.
Jaganathpur constituency of West Singhbhum district witnessed lowest count with a total being 174,375 voters.
