BJP also released its manifesto for Maharashtra, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiling in Mumbai the 25-point 'Sankalp Patra 2024', as per which the financial assistance component under the Mahayuti government's Ladki Bahin scheme for women will be increased from Rs 1,500 per month to Rs 2,100. Asaduddin Owaisi locks horns with Devendra Fadnavis

As the Maharashtra poll campaign hits the crescendo, Deputy Chief Minister and BJP’s stalwart Devendra Fadnavis and AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has locked horns taking the electoral temperature northwards. 

The AIMIM is contesting 16 seats in Maharashtra. 

Owaisi, who was in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, slammed the BJP leaders including Prime Minster Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, for comments like ‘ek hai to safe hai’ and ‘batage to katange’.

Owaisi also hit out at Fadnavis for the “vote jihad’ remarks. 

“….we are seeing that ‘vote jihad" had begun in poll-bound Maharashtra, which should be countered by “dharma-yuddha” of vote,” Fadnavis has said in Dhule.
