Prime Minister Modi will travel to Jharkhand today and flag off six Vande Bharat trains at Tatanagar Junction Railway Station around 10 am, according to a release by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
"The Vande Bharat Portfolio is ever-expanding with new train services being added for enhanced connectivity," the statement read.
Later in the day, he will address a rally in Jamshedpur.
PM Narendra Modi welcomed a calf named Deepjyoti to his 7, Lok Kalyan Marg residence on Saturday. He also shared pictures with the calf on his social media handle.

PM Modi headed for Jamshedpur via road from Ranchi after his chopper could not take off due to inclement weather, reported news agency PTI, quoting an official.
"National Conference did not make separatists, they talk Pakistan. Those who chant 'Pakistan Zindabad' are sitting with them (BJP, RSS). I want to say to the PM, he has been ruling here since 5 years, they used to say that Article 370 was responsible for terrorism, then why terrorism has continued? They are lying everyday. Senior BJP leader Anil Vij has said that he will stake claim for CM's post if party returns to power in Haryana after October 5 Assembly polls.
"Currently, infiltration is the biggest problem of Jharkhand. The parents of young daughters are worried. 2-3 days ago, Jharkhand High Court ordered an independent panel to investigate the infiltration... But the JMM government is not ready to admit that there is infiltration in Jharkhand... Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltration is a huge problem in Santhal Pargana and Kolhan. The demography of the whole region is changing rapidly," the Prime Minister said.
"Was Champai Soren not an Adivasi? Did he not come from a poor family? But the way he was insulted to snatch the CM's chair, every poor and Adivasi of Jharkhand is hurt because of it... Sita Soren was insulted and evicted from her own family. The people of Jharkhand will give a reply to this... There is only one most corrupt party in this country and that is Congress. There is only one most corrupt family and that is the Congress family... The JMM is also getting training from the same school and the name of that school is Congress School of Corruption," Modi said at the rally.

Atishi Marlena answered a question regarding dissolving of Delhi Assembly saying that, "If Vidhan Sabha's tenure is less than that of six months, the Central government and Election Commission can choose to hold the elections anytime. That's why we don't need to dissolve the assembly in order to hold elections."

BJP national spokesperson Shazia Ilmi on Sunday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is indulging in "political theatrics" and "trying to play a sympathy card" by resigning as he knows he is going to jail for a long time.
Ilmi, who was previously associated with Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said she was again feeling "ashamed" to have been a founding member of that party "whose chief minister indulges in theatrics".
"Everyone knows there is a huge scam. Kejriwal and his ministers had to go to jail. Chargesheet has been submitted, more than 200 witnesses are there. Everyone knows how policies were tweaked," she told reporters here.

On PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah said, " Mehbooba Mufti has brought nothing but destruction and ruin to Jammu and Kashmir. If anyone has played the biggest role in bringing BJP (in J&K) then it is PDP and its leadership.
"First of all, she should give an account of 2016. She has not apologised for bringing the BJP here. She has not apologised for pushing Jammu and Kashmir towards this destruction.
"Why is she targeting me? What was the compulsion to form an alliance with the BJP in 2016? We were ready to give them the government at that time. The National Conference and the Congress first sent their support to Mufti Sahab and after his death, to Mehbooba Mufti. Why did they reject it? What was their weakness that they had to go with the BJP."
(PTI) National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's announcement of resignation shows he is not hungry for power and wants to go back to people "who will either make or break him".
"He wants fresh elections in Delhi so that he goes back to the people and it is the people who will either make or break him," Abdullah told reporters here.The National Conference (NC) president said the charges have not been proved against Kejriwal in the liquor scam and so he wants people to decide.
"They have not been able to prove charges on him, that is why he wants to go to public so that the people decide. It is a very good thing that he is not hungry for power, he has left the chair even as there was still time. He wants to gain the faith of the people and it is a huge thing in a democracy," he added.
