Medical camps set up for Amarnath pilgrims in Ramban

Ramban District Administration is provided free medical facilities to the Amarnath Yatra pilgrims along NH44 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on July 04. 

As many as 19 medical camps have been set up in Langars, Yatri Niwas and other facilities along the National Highway from Nashri to Banihal. 

The first batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were received by the district administration at Kali Mata Temple at Tikri in Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from the Jammu base camp here on July 30. 62-day-long Shri Amarnath Yatra commenced on July 1 and will culminate on August 31. 

Various ‘Langar’ committees started their preparations on June 30, three days in advance, to serve the pilgrims.  The committees prepared sheds, cooking resources, and other raw materials on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district. 

A total of 22 Langars have been established this year at various points of the highway (NH-44).
