<p>The state BJP on Friday is learned to have recommended to its central election committee to give the Chincholi ticket to Umesh Jadhav’s son Avinash.</p>.<p>The Chincholi Assembly constituency is scheduled to face a byelection on May 19 after Jadhav resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP. Jadhav became the BJP’s candidate from Gulbarga against veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge.</p>.<p>The decision to recommend Avinash’s name was taken at a meeting chaired by BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, according to sources. On Thursday, however, the party’s core committee had decided to recommend Jadhav’s brother Ramachandra for the ticket.</p>.<p>Jadhav is said to have visited Yeddyurappa’s house twice to lobby for his son. He told Yeddyurappa that all his family members had consented for his son to contest the election. BJP sources pointed out that Jadhav joined the party on the condition that the bypoll ticket should go to whoever he chose.</p>
